Privacy Policy (BPM Player)

BPM Player (the "App") values user privacy and complies with privacy protection laws.

1. Personal Information Collected

The App provides services without requiring separate user registration. However, the following information may be collected for advertising provision and app functionality improvement:

  • Advertising ID, device information (model name, OS version, etc.), app usage records, log data

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

  • App functionality provision and service quality improvement
  • Personalized advertising provision (when using third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob)
  • Statistical analysis and error improvement

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

The App does not store personal information on separate servers. Advertising IDs and other information are managed independently by advertising networks (Google AdMob, etc.).

4. Third-Party Provision of Personal Information

The App does not provide users' personal information to external parties. However, non-identifying information such as advertising IDs may be provided to third parties such as Google AdMob for advertising service provision.

5. User Rights and Exercise Methods

Users can stop personal information collection and use at any time by deleting the app.

7. Others

This policy is effective from July 24, 2025, and was last updated on October 30, 2026 (home server streaming added). When the policy changes, users will be notified through app notifications or updates.

8. Google User Data Access

The App lets users import selected Google Drive files. It uses Google OAuth and requests only the drive.file scope.

  • The App accesses only files explicitly selected by the user and does not access the entire Drive.
  • The data is used solely to fetch the list of music files and is neither stored on our servers nor shared with third parties.

9. Least-Privilege Principle and Security

When accessing Google APIs, the App requests only the minimum permissions required for functionality and processes data only with user consent.

  • Any collected/used data is used temporarily within the App and is transmitted securely via encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Users can revoke the permissions granted to the App at any time via their Google Account security settings.

10. Not Subject to CASA Security Assessment

The App does not use restricted API scopes. It uses standard OAuth scopes such as drive.file, and therefore is not subject to Google’s CASA security assessment.

11. Home Server Streaming (Pro)

The App can play music from a music server that the user runs (Subsonic/OpenSubsonic-compatible, for example on a home PC or NAS).

  • The password is stored only on the user's device, in the operating system's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). The server address and username are stored in the App's database on the device and may be included in the device's own backup (for example, Android Auto Backup); the password is not. This sign-in information is sent only to the server the user entered, to sign in, and is never sent to us.
  • Music is streamed directly between the user's device and the user's server. We do not operate a relay server and do not collect the user's music files.
  • The song list, song information (title, artist, BPM, key, cover art), BPM values entered by the user, likes and playlists are stored only on the device. To show song information such as the musical key, the App may read the beginning of an audio file from the user's server.
  • If the server address uses http instead of https, sign-in information and music may be sent without encryption. We recommend using https or a private network such as a VPN.
  • Deleting a server in the App removes its stored sign-in information from the device. The user can also choose to delete the BPM values saved for that server.
  • For feature improvement, usage statistics may be collected through Firebase Analytics, such as the type of server software, the number of songs synced, and playback events including the song title and artist (the same as for songs stored on the device). Server addresses, usernames and passwords are not collected.

개인정보 처리방침 (BPM Player)

BPM Player(이하 "앱")는 사용자의 개인정보를 중요시하며, 「개인정보 보호법」을 준수합니다.

1. 수집하는 개인정보 항목

앱은 별도의 회원가입 없이 서비스를 제공합니다. 단, 광고 제공 및 앱 기능 개선을 위해 아래와 같은 정보가 수집될 수 있습니다.

  • 광고 ID, 기기 정보(모델명, OS 버전 등), 앱 사용 기록, 로그 데이터

  • 앱 기능 제공 및 서비스 품질 개선
  • 맞춤형 광고 제공(Google AdMob 등 제3자 광고 서비스 이용 시)
  • 통계 분석 및 오류 개선

3. 개인정보의 보유 및 이용 기간

앱은 별도의 서버에 개인정보를 저장하지 않으며, 광고 ID 등은 광고 네트워크(Google AdMob 등)에서 자체적으로 관리합니다.

4. 개인정보의 제3자 제공

앱은 사용자의 개인정보를 외부에 제공하지 않습니다. 단, 광고 서비스 제공을 위해 Google AdMob 등 제3자에게 광고 ID 등 비식별 정보가 제공될 수 있습니다.

5. 이용자의 권리와 행사 방법

사용자는 언제든지 앱을 삭제함으로써 개인정보 수집 및 이용을 중단할 수 있습니다.

본 방침은 2025년 7월 24일부터 적용되며, 2026년 10월 30일에 개정되었습니다(홈서버 스트리밍 추가). 방침 변경 시 앱 내 공지 또는 업데이트를 통해 안내합니다.

8. Google 사용자 데이터 액세스

본 앱은 사용자가 선택한 Google Drive 파일을 불러오는 기능을 제공합니다. 이를 위해 Google OAuth 인증을 사용하며, drive.file 범위만 요청합니다.

  • 앱은 사용자가 명시적으로 선택한 파일에만 접근하며, 전체 드라이브에 대한 접근은 하지 않습니다.
  • 해당 데이터는 음악 파일 리스트를 불러오는 데만 사용되며, 서버에 저장되거나 제3자에게 제공되지 않습니다.

9. 최소 권한 원칙 및 보안

앱은 Google API 접근 시 기능 수행에 필요한 최소한의 권한만 요청하며, 사용자 동의 하에만 데이터를 처리합니다.

  • 수집·이용된 데이터는 앱 내에서만 일시적으로 사용되며, 전송 시 암호화(HTTPS)를 통해 보호됩니다.
  • 사용자는 Google 계정 보안 설정에서 언제든지 앱에 부여한 권한을 철회할 수 있습니다.

10. CASA 보안 심사 대상 아님

본 앱은 제한된(restricted) API 범위를 사용하지 않고 drive.file 등 일반 OAuth 스코프만 사용하므로, Google의 CASA 보안 심사 대상이 아닙니다.

11. 홈서버 스트리밍(Pro)

앱은 사용자가 직접 운영하는 음악 서버(집 PC나 NAS 등에서 실행하는 Subsonic/OpenSubsonic 호환 서버)의 음악을 재생하는 기능을 제공합니다.

  • 비밀번호는 사용자의 기기에만 저장되며, 운영체제의 보안 저장소(iOS 키체인 / Android Keystore)에 보관됩니다. 서버 주소와 아이디는 기기 안의 앱 데이터베이스에 저장되며, 기기 자체 백업(예: Android 자동 백업)에 포함될 수 있습니다. 비밀번호는 백업에 포함되지 않습니다. 이 로그인 정보는 로그인을 위해 사용자가 입력한 서버에만 전송되며, 개발자에게 전송되지 않습니다.
  • 음악은 사용자의 기기와 사용자의 서버 사이에서 직접 스트리밍됩니다. 개발자는 중계 서버를 운영하지 않으며, 사용자의 음악 파일을 수집하지 않습니다.
  • 곡 목록과 곡 정보(제목, 아티스트, BPM, Key, 앨범아트), 사용자가 입력한 BPM, 좋아요, 플레이리스트는 기기에만 저장됩니다. Key 같은 곡 정보를 표시하기 위해 앱이 사용자의 서버에서 음악 파일의 앞부분을 읽을 수 있습니다.
  • 서버 주소가 https가 아닌 http이면 로그인 정보와 음악이 암호화되지 않은 채 전송될 수 있습니다. https 또는 VPN 같은 사설 네트워크 사용을 권장합니다.
  • 앱에서 서버를 삭제하면 기기에 저장된 해당 서버의 로그인 정보가 삭제되며, 그 서버에 저장한 BPM 값도 함께 삭제할지 선택할 수 있습니다.
  • 기능 개선을 위해 서버 소프트웨어 종류, 동기화한 곡 수, 곡 제목과 아티스트가 포함된 재생 이벤트(기기에 저장된 곡과 같은 방식) 같은 사용 통계가 Firebase Analytics를 통해 수집될 수 있습니다. 서버 주소, 아이디, 비밀번호는 수집하지 않습니다.
