SLICELOG - Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy (SLICELOG)

SLICELOG (the "App") is a travel camera app that turns short clips into a daily video. The App does not require an account and keeps video content on your device. Limited data is processed by the third-party services described below for weather, advertising, consent, and purchases.

1. No Account, No Server

The App does not require sign-up or login, and the company does not operate a server that stores your clips, finished videos, or location history. Those records are stored in the App's local storage on your device. Third-party providers may process limited technical data when their features are used, as described in Sections 2, 4, and 6.

The App does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or account credentials. The App does not currently request App Tracking Transparency permission to access the IDFA. Google may still process other device or app identifiers and technical data for advertising, fraud prevention, measurement, and service operation as permitted by your region and consent choices.

3. Permissions and Why We Ask

  • Camera — required to record clips. Without it, the App cannot capture video.
  • Microphone — used to record ambient sound with your clips. If you decline, the App records silent video instead; this is never treated as an error.
  • Location (While Using the App) — used only to resolve the city and country shown in the watermark. We request "While Using the App" access only, never "Always." If you decline, clips are saved with date and time only. Precise location, if granted, is used solely to improve the accuracy of the resolved city/neighborhood and is never embedded in the exported video or its file metadata as raw coordinates.
  • Photos — used when you import selected videos or save clips and finished videos to Photos. The App does not upload your photo library to our servers.

You can review or revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings → SLICELOG.

4. System Services We Rely On

The App uses the following external services:

  • System geocoding (Apple's CLGeocoder) to turn coordinates into a city/country name.
  • Open-Meteo to retrieve current or historical weather using coordinates, date, and time.
  • StoreKit and RevenueCat to offer, verify, and restore the lifetime Pro purchase. RevenueCat receives an automatically generated anonymous app user ID and purchase/entitlement information.
  • Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform to request ads, display banner or rewarded ads, prevent fraud, measure ad performance, and manage regional consent choices.

These services do not receive your clips or finished videos from the App. Their own privacy policies govern the limited data they process.

5. Sharing Outside the App

The App does not transmit your clips or finished videos to any third party automatically. If you choose to save a video to Photos, or share it through the system share sheet to apps like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, that transfer is initiated by you, and the destination app's own privacy policy applies from that point on.

6. Advertising and Consent

The free tier may display non-personalized banner ads on non-camera screens. After the free export allowance is used, you may voluntarily watch a non-personalized rewarded ad to unlock one additional export. Pro removes these ads and export limits. Google User Messaging Platform is used where required to collect and let you revisit consent choices. The App disables AdMob's publisher first-party ID, does not currently request permission to access the IDFA, and does not include a separate product-analytics SDK. 7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Clips and finished videos remain on your device until you delete them in the App or delete entire days from your storage settings.
  • Deleting the App removes its entire sandboxed container, including all clips, finished videos, and local records. This cannot be recovered afterward, since nothing is backed up to a server.
  • Your purchase entitlement is tied to your Apple ID, not to local app data, so it can be restored after reinstalling with "Restore Purchases" even after local data has been deleted.
  • Google and RevenueCat retain data under their own policies and legal obligations. Consent choices can be reviewed in the App when the privacy-options entry is required by Google.

8. General Audience and Children's Privacy

SLICELOG is a general-purpose camera app usable by anyone and is not directed specifically at children, but it is not restricted to adult users either. We do not knowingly collect personal information to build a profile of any user, including a child, and we do not currently request App Tracking Transparency or serve personalized/behavioral ads to any user regardless of age — ads in the free tier are requested as non-personalized by design. Because the App has no account system and no server-side collection, no server-held profile of any user is created in the first place. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has shared information beyond what this policy describes, contact us at the email below and we will address it. Where local law (for example, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, the UK/EU child data protection rules, or Korea's Personal Information Protection Act provisions on children under 14) requires guardian consent for a child's use of a service, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for providing that consent before a child uses the App.

9. Your Privacy Choices by Region

The limited data described in Section 2 is processed by Apple, Open-Meteo, Google, and RevenueCat as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in addition to the controls described throughout this policy:

  • European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR): You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of data held by these providers, and to withdraw advertising consent at any time through the in-app Privacy & messaging options. Since clips, finished videos, and location history are never held on a Company server, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device — for example, by deleting a clip or deleting the App.
  • California and other US states (CCPA/CPRA and similar laws): We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond what is disclosed in Section 6. You can withdraw advertising consent at any time through Privacy & messaging options, and you may contact us at the email below with questions about the limited data categories in Section 2.
  • All other regions: The same practical controls described in this policy — revoking iOS permissions, managing ad consent, and deleting the App to remove all local data — are available to you regardless of where you live.

10. International Use

We do not transfer your clips or finished videos to a company server. Apple, Open-Meteo, Google, and RevenueCat may process limited service data in countries outside your residence under their own privacy terms and applicable safeguards.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Effective Date" below and notify users through an in-app notice or an App Store update note where appropriate.

개인정보 처리방침 (SLICELOG)

SLICELOG(이하 "앱")는 짧은 영상을 하루의 기록으로 완성해주는 여행 카메라 앱입니다. 앱은 계정을 요구하지 않고 영상 콘텐츠를 기기에 보관합니다. 날씨, 광고·동의, 구매 기능에는 아래에 설명한 제3자 서비스가 제한된 정보를 처리합니다.

1. 회원가입 없음, 서버 없음

앱은 별도의 회원가입이나 로그인을 요구하지 않으며, 운영사는 사용자의 클립, 완성 영상, 위치 이력을 저장하는 서버를 운영하지 않습니다. 해당 기록은 사용자 기기의 앱 내부 저장 공간에 저장됩니다. 제3자 제공자는 해당 기능 이용 시 제2조·제4조·제6조에 기재된 제한된 기술 정보를 처리할 수 있습니다.

앱은 이름, 이메일, 전화번호, 계정 자격 증명을 요구하지 않습니다. 현재 IDFA 접근을 위한 앱 추적 투명성 권한도 요청하지 않습니다. 다만 Google은 지역과 동의 선택이 허용하는 범위에서 광고 제공·부정행위 방지·측정·서비스 운영을 위해 다른 기기 또는 앱 식별자와 기술 정보를 처리할 수 있습니다.

3. 권한과 요청 이유

  • 카메라 — 클립 촬영의 필수 권한입니다. 거부 시 영상을 촬영할 수 없습니다.
  • 마이크 — 촬영한 클립에 현장 소리를 담는 데 사용합니다. 거부해도 무음 영상 촬영이 가능하며, 이는 오류로 취급되지 않습니다.
  • 위치(앱을 사용하는 동안) — 워터마크에 표시할 도시·국가를 해석하는 용도로만 사용합니다. 앱을 사용하는 동안 권한만 요청하며 항상 허용은 요청하지 않습니다. 거부 시 날짜·시간만 기록됩니다. 정밀한 위치가 허용되더라도 이는 도시·동네 해석의 정확도를 높이는 데만 쓰이며, 좌표 원본은 완성 영상이나 파일 메타데이터에 포함되지 않습니다.
  • 사진 — 사용자가 선택한 영상을 가져오거나 클립·완성 영상을 사진 앱에 저장할 때 사용합니다. 사진 보관함은 운영사 서버로 업로드되지 않습니다.

이 권한들은 iOS 설정 → SLICELOG에서 언제든지 확인하거나 철회할 수 있습니다.

4. 이용하는 시스템 서비스

앱은 다음 외부 서비스를 이용합니다.

  • 시스템 지오코딩(Apple CLGeocoder) — 좌표를 도시·국가명으로 변환
  • Open-Meteo — 좌표·날짜·시간을 이용해 현재 또는 과거 날씨 조회
  • StoreKit·RevenueCat — 평생 Pro 상품 제공, 구매 검증 및 복원. RevenueCat은 자동 생성된 익명 앱 사용자 ID와 구매·권한 정보를 처리
  • Google AdMob·User Messaging Platform — 광고 요청·표시, 부정행위 방지, 광고 성과 측정 및 지역별 동의 선택 관리

이 서비스들에 사용자의 클립이나 완성 영상이 앱에서 전송되지는 않습니다. 각 서비스가 처리하는 제한된 정보에는 해당 서비스의 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다.

5. 앱 외부로의 공유

앱은 사용자의 클립이나 완성 영상을 제3자에게 자동으로 전송하지 않습니다. 사용자가 완성 영상을 사진 앱에 저장하거나, 시스템 공유 시트를 통해 인스타그램·틱톡·유튜브 등으로 공유하는 경우, 해당 전송은 사용자가 직접 시작한 행위이며 그 시점부터는 공유 대상 앱의 자체 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다.

6. 광고 및 동의

무료 플랜은 촬영 화면이 아닌 일부 화면에 비개인화 배너 광고를 표시할 수 있습니다. 무료 내보내기 횟수를 모두 사용한 뒤에는 사용자가 비개인화 보상형 광고를 자발적으로 시청해 영상 1회 내보내기를 해제할 수 있습니다. Pro는 광고와 내보내기 제한을 제거합니다. 필요한 지역에서는 Google User Messaging Platform으로 동의를 받고 동의 선택을 다시 확인할 수 있게 합니다. 앱은 AdMob의 게시자 퍼스트 파티 ID를 비활성화하고, 현재 IDFA 접근 권한을 요청하지 않으며, 별도의 제품 분석 SDK를 포함하지 않습니다. Google이 광고 서비스를 이용하는 앱의 데이터를 어떻게 활용하는지는 Google의 파트너 사이트 정책과 개인정보처리방침에서 확인할 수 있습니다.

7. 데이터 보유 및 삭제

  • 클립과 완성 영상은 사용자가 앱 내에서 삭제하거나 저장 공간 설정에서 날짜별 원본을 삭제할 때까지 기기에 보관됩니다.
  • 앱을 삭제하면 샌드박스 컨테이너 전체(모든 클립, 완성 영상, 로컬 기록 포함)가 함께 삭제됩니다. 서버에 백업되지 않으므로 이후 복구가 불가능합니다.
  • 구매 권한은 로컬 앱 데이터가 아닌 사용자의 Apple ID에 연결되어 있으므로, 로컬 데이터를 삭제한 뒤 앱을 재설치하더라도 구매 복원으로 다시 확인할 수 있습니다.
  • Google과 RevenueCat은 각자의 정책 및 법적 의무에 따라 정보를 보유합니다. Google이 개인정보 옵션 표시를 요구하는 경우 앱에서 동의 선택을 다시 확인할 수 있습니다.

8. 전연령 이용과 아동의 개인정보

SLICELOG는 누구나 사용할 수 있는 범용 카메라 앱으로, 아동을 특별히 겨냥하지 않지만 성인 사용자로만 제한하지도 않습니다. 운영사는 아동을 포함한 어떤 사용자에 대해서도 프로필을 생성하기 위한 개인정보를 고의로 수집하지 않으며, 현재 앱 추적 투명성 권한을 요청하지 않고 연령과 무관하게 개인화·행태 기반 광고를 제공하지 않습니다 — 무료 플랜의 광고는 설계상 항상 비개인화 상태로 요청됩니다. 앱에 계정 체계와 서버 측 수집이 없으므로 애초에 어떤 사용자에 대해서도 서버에 보관되는 프로필이 존재하지 않습니다. 보호자로서 아동이 이 방침에 기재되지 않은 정보를 제공했다고 판단되면 아래 이메일로 문의해 주시면 조치하겠습니다. 미국 아동 온라인 개인정보보호법(COPPA), 영국·EU의 아동 개인정보 보호 규정, 또는 한국 「개인정보 보호법」의 만 14세 미만 아동 관련 조항 등 현지 법령이 아동의 서비스 이용에 보호자 동의를 요구하는 경우, 아동이 앱을 이용하기 전 법정대리인이 해당 동의를 제공할 책임이 있습니다.

9. 지역별 개인정보 권리

제2조에 기재된 제한된 정보는 Apple, Open-Meteo, Google, RevenueCat이 위에 설명한 바와 같이 처리합니다. 거주 지역에 따라 이 방침 전반에 설명된 통제 수단 외에 다음과 같은 권리를 가질 수 있습니다.

  • 유럽경제지역(EEA)·영국·스위스(GDPR·UK GDPR): 위 제공자가 보유한 정보에 대해 열람, 정정, 삭제, 처리 제한, 이의제기를 요청할 권리가 있으며, 앱 내 개인정보 및 메시지 옵션을 통해 언제든지 광고 동의를 철회할 수 있습니다. 클립, 완성 영상, 위치 이력은 회사 서버에 보관되지 않으므로 대부분의 권리는 클립 삭제, 앱 삭제 등 기기에서 직접 행사됩니다.
  • 미국 캘리포니아 등(CCPA·CPRA 및 유사 주법): 운영사는 사용자의 개인정보를 판매하지 않으며, 제6조에 기재된 범위를 넘어서는 교차 맥락 행태 광고 목적의 공유도 하지 않습니다. 개인정보 및 메시지 옵션을 통해 언제든지 광고 동의를 철회할 수 있으며, 제2조의 제한된 데이터 범주에 관해 궁금한 점은 아래 이메일로 문의할 수 있습니다.
  • 그 외 모든 지역: 거주 지역과 관계없이 iOS 권한 철회, 광고 동의 관리, 앱 삭제를 통한 로컬 데이터 전체 삭제 등 이 방침에 설명된 동일한 실질적 통제 수단을 이용할 수 있습니다.

10. 국외 이전

운영사는 사용자의 클립이나 완성 영상을 자체 서버로 이전하지 않습니다. Apple, Open-Meteo, Google, RevenueCat은 각자의 개인정보 정책과 관련 보호조치에 따라 사용자의 거주 국가 밖에서 제한된 서비스 정보를 처리할 수 있습니다.

11. 방침의 변경

이 방침이 변경되는 경우 아래 "시행일"을 갱신하고, 필요한 경우 앱 내 공지 또는 App Store 업데이트 노트를 통해 안내합니다.
